Repair a LipSync Night

Details

Come any time, help for an hour or more! No time commitment, drop by as you are able.

The LipSync (http://www.makersmakingchange.com/lipsync) enables a person that has no use of their hands to use a touchscreen device through a mouth operated joystick controlling an onscreen cursor. It is an open-source hardware project funded by Google.org, and anyone can 3D print the parts, flash the Arduino Mini board, and order the components to build this access device. We have held a number of "build" events over the course of the year, with people with a range of skills and backgrounds -- high schools, engineering schools, corporate team build events, and in makerspaces. Some builds require a little more TLC before they are released into the wild.

If you can solder, have some technical troubleshooting skills and some time, help us fix a LipSync or two on Monday, Dec 4, at Vancouver Hack Space - #104-1715 Cook St Vancouver, BC V5Y 3J6.

You can get a jumpstart by looking at the assembly manual on Github: https://github.com/makersmakingchange/LipSync/raw/master/LipSync_Manual_v1.4.5.pdf
