What we're about
I am inspired to offer my experience to others and to initiate a learning community rooted in mindfulness practice, that will foster the growth of mindfulness in our larger community and improve the quality of life for everyone in our places of work, our homes, and our personal relationships. Co-creating an open, contemplative learning environment, sharing best practices and resources, and developing our local network would be the main goals of the community .
The Vancouver Mindfulness for Professionals Network has been meeting bi-monthly since September 2011. It is currently co-facilitated by network members:Brian Callahan MBA, Dr.Dzung Vo, and myself, Margaret Jones Callahan MA. The group is a mix of professionals from education, social services, mental health, and business and the arts. We are supporting each other's work, and learning from each other about our meditation traditions. We share best practices and have tea. Anyone who is practising mindfulness meditation and using it in their professional work is welcome.
