Joseph Yeates will kick off our first meet-up of 2026 by showing us some of the latest and greatest in Power BI. Then our good friend Reza Rad will be our features presenter.
Time-based analysis and calculations are the most common calculations, and sometimes challenging, but Microsoft MVP Reza Rad is here to help! In this session, we will talk about designing a time intelligence pattern and usage of DAX functions to calculate much time-based analysis, such as rolling 12 months, usage of some of the function to change the behavior of analysis all through live demos. You will also learn the new way of calculation for time intelligence using Calendar Options.
SPEAKER PROFILE:
Reza Rad is a Microsoft Regional Director, an Author, Trainer, Speaker, and Consultant. He has a BSc in Computer engineering; he has more than 20 years of experience in data analysis, BI, databases, programming, and development mostly on Microsoft technologies. He is a Microsoft Data Platform MVP for 14 continuous years (from 2011 till now) for his dedication to Microsoft BI. Reza is an active blogger and co-founder of RADACAD. Reza is also co-founder and co-organizer of the Difinity conference in New Zealand, the Power BI Summit (the biggest Power BI conference), and Data Insight Summit (Chicago, USA).
