SESSION OUTLINE:
Joseph Yeates will start off the evening by going over the latest features in Power BI.

Next, Parv Chana will be presenting on Time Intelligence DAX Functions and the importance of Date Tables. For any BI report, time-based analysis is a key part of the report; for example, YoY, MoM, QoQ comparison, and many more.

In this meet-up we'll go over:

  • Why add a Date Dimension in your model?
  • Why the Date Dimension (Table) is important?
  • What are the best practices for Date Table?
  • When to use DATEADD vs DATESINPERIOD vs DATESBETWEEN DAX functions?

We also will go thru a few real-time examples using time intelligence functions.
