Hello and welcome to June!
This month's Vancouver Sound Designers meetup is set for THU 6/27 at the VFS Cafe.
Join us for a roundtable discussion on the topics of personal growth, self-assessment and the ever-tricky question of career trajectories within audio. What's brought you to the field, and what keeps you engaged? How do you conceptualize your personal direction through the world of audio, and how has that changed over time?
We're also curious to talk about passion. It's a powerful motivator and reminder of why we're all here: how do you nurture it, and how do you weather its ups and downs?
We've made sure to include a breadth of perspectives from the game, film and independent music scenes of Vancouver, but we need your voice in the conversation! We're making the space up to accommodate thirty or so of us in a big circle to encourage participation in this moderated but free-flowing discussion, which will be nudged along by a few special guests.
Everyone has something to offer and learn from this, and we hope you'll join us.

When: THU June 27th, 7:30PM (doors at 7—come and claim a seat!)
Where: VFS Cafe, W Hastings St between Homer and Hamilton, Vancouver, BC V6B 1K6
Attendance for this is capped at 30 in order to keep a conversational feel and encourage participation, so please RSVP to this event on meetup.com if you intend to come.
