In-Depth Outdoor Portrait Workshop With Cherie

Details

In this workshop, I'm going to take you to one of my most diverse locations with an insane amount of variety (we will be focussing on at least THREE differnt locations/backgrounds) and I'm going to hire one of my favorite recent models, Cherie. (see photos below).

This workshop is going to delve DEEP into every single aspect of everything I do.... from how I choose my locations & backgrounds, communicate with the model regarding wardrobe, to greatly reducing the risk of model flaking and last minute cancellations. We will CLOSELY examine posing, not only for different types of backgrounds, but also for my tight cropped 3/4 length style, Vs. full length compositions.

There is very limited seating, so that you get the level of interaction & instruction required!

I will carefully deconstruct and walk you through everything involved in my Photoshop editing and arm you with the post processing knowledge that you need, to separate your photos from the next person's.

Of course we'll also discuss gear, but the emphasis is going to be on the creative, more so that the gear/technical. I've spent several years making great photos with very modest gear and absolutely no requirement for extensive technical know-how. You can too and i'm going to show you exactly how!

PREREQUISITES

You must be familiar with your camera’s settings in manual mode; know how to adjust shutter speed, aperture, ISO, select focal points, check histograms etc. on the fly. Knowing how to control your hotshoe functions for wireless transmitters may be helpful to you, but not critical. The ONLY thing you need is your camera! I can provide some assistance with all of this, but I am only proficient with Canon models.

You will want to bring the WIDEST aperture lens that you have, (with the LONGEST focal length and preferably image stabilization).

You will need to own a copy of Photoshop and/or Lightroom in order to fully benefit from this workshop. I can provide you with a link to a 30-day trial if you need one.

No tripods please.
