Love the outdoors, but want to take it slow? This group is for people who love the outdoors but want to take it down a notch. We're not in a race, but still want to exercise in nature in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. Great way to get in better shape without "overdoing" it. Plus exercise is way more fun when you have someone to chat with!
Mainly, we're a walking group, but are open to other activities our event organizers may want to put on. Walks will be anywhere from 3km upwards, although you are certainly welcome to walk as far as you feel comfortable. Our pace is approx. 4-5 km/h.
Remember, this is YOUR group! If you are interested in an event, you are encouraged to be an event organizer! Or at least offer suggestions. :-) Any level of participation is welcome.

Membership dues $5/year. Please pay by your 2nd meetup. This helps cover our meetup fees. You can bring cash to a meetup or e-transfer your dues to firstname.lastname@example.org, security word "slowbears".
When joining, please upload a profile photo of your face and use your real first name.
You are expected to update your RSVP to a "No" if you change your mind. More than 2 no-shows may result in me removing you from the group. ( A no-show means your RSVP said "Yes", but you didn't come. Changing your RSVP to "No" less than 2 hours before a meetup will also be considered a no-show.)
If I set an attendance limit, an RSVP deadline, or ask you to pay in advance etc. please don't message me and ask for an exception as this type of thing makes me loopy. :-)
