VegNet is Central Oregon’s vegan advocacy, education, and social group. In addition to monthly potlucks, we host speakers, view documentaries, and volunteer for local animal groups. Dr. Will Tuttle in Bend one night only

SURPRISE VISIT! FREE Presentation Dr. Will Tuttle, a world renowned speaker and author of numerous books including The World Peace Diet, will be speaking in Bend, one night only Friday, August 23rd at the Environmental Center, 16 NW Kansas, Bend. This is a fantastic opportunity you won't want to miss. Winner of the Courage of Conscience Award (along with the Dalai Lama, Rosa Parks, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Pete Seeger) he will deliver an inspiring talk about the hidden dimensions of our culture's food system. He has traveled with his artist spouse Madeleine since 1990 sharing his inspiring vision for a “true revolution of non-violence” on our planet. He earned his doctorate degree from U.C. Berkeley and is a former Zen Monk and Dharma Master in the Zen tradition. ~~~ Join us as we explore with Dr. Tuttle new connections and discover how we can build radiant health on all 5 levels, awaken awareness, and bring healing to our world. Madeleine Tuttle is a visionary artist from Switzerland and is also a flutist, Waldorf teacher and more. Her evocative art will deepen the experience at the presentation on August 23.

Join us to eat and socialize. • What to bring Please bring a vegan dish (no animal products, including honey) to serve 6-8 people, plus extra if there are more than two in your party, a card listing ingredients, and your own cup, plate, and utensils. Suggested donation $2-5 to help cover room rental. • Important to know Kids are welcome and you don't have to be vegan to join us. Come and try veg! VegNet's community potlucks are held on the third Saturday of every month, 6pm, at the Environmental Center.
