Please join us for a screening of the classic Peaceable Kingdom: The Journey Home (http://www.peaceablekingdomfilm.org/), a 2009 documentary about several farmers who become animal advocates.

About the film: A riveting story of transformation and healing, PEACEABLE KINGDOM: THE JOURNEY HOME explores the awakening conscience of several people who grew up in traditional farming culture and who have now come to question the basic assumptions of their way of life. Presented through a woven tapestry of memories, music, and breathtaking accounts of life-altering moments, the film provides insight into the farmers' sometimes amazing connections with the animals under their care, while also making clear the complex web of social, psychological and economic forces that have led them to their present dilemma.

Join us on Thursday, February 16, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Natural Health Center (http://www.naturalhealthfoodcenter.com/) (4610 W Main St, Kalamazoo) for this movie and an optional discussion afterward. Event is free; we do request and appreciate an optional $2 donation to cover group expenses.

As always, at Vegan Kalamazoo events, everyone is welcome, including vegans, vegetarians, omnivores, and vegans-in-progress.
