This group is dedicated to the beginning of VeloPaddling sport in the metro area/Lower Hudson Valley area. VeloPaddler's are dedicated to balanced participation in full body endurance cadence strokes. Equal amounts of spinning a Bicycle combined with equal amounts of Stand Up Paddling on water. Proficiency with both strokes combined into one day or work out is exhilarating and sustainable not to mention a complete full body fitness program that will delight your summer, late spring and early fall. VeloPaddler's use any bike and a light weight trailer plus an Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board. The cycling route is planned with adequate time given for the paddling and return cycle trip. Cycling Lycra with a little additional Kayak clothing is all you need as far as clothing. A water sock or moccasin is recommended. VeloPaddling is new and we aim to be very helpful to beginners. Cyclist or Paddler or neither. Come learn and try in tiny successful fun bits. Most of all we want you to experience the full door to door round trip motor experience. We came from 11 years of USA Cycle road racing 20 years of NYC Club Rising and now 3 years of SUP paddling on all local water ways. We provide certified instruction in both activities. This is endurance sport. Hydration and nutrition same as doing 50-100 mile cycle road riding and big open water crossings apply. We can structure beginners and advanced on separate days.
