Day Trip on the Lower Pine Ridge Trail

Details
DAY TRIP TO MAKE PROGRESS TOWARD THE OPENING OF THE LOWER PINE RIDGE TRAIL
Saturday February, 22, 2020
LEADER: Lynn Moncher
This is a moderate 6 mile out and back hike leaving from Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park.
THE WORK: We'll be working to reclaim the trail after no maintenance for 3.5 years because the Soberanes Fire and a wet winter closed the trail in Jul16. Brushing and tread work will be the focus. State Parks has recently maintained the PRT to the wilderness boundary where volunteer work will continue in an effort to converge with the volunteers who have been working down the trail from Terrace Creek. All abilities welcome.
MEET: 8:00 am, in the large shoulder pullout (right side of the road) along Hwy 1 just before the Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park entrance. Look for our VWA sign. We will caravan from there into the park.
Rain cancels.
