European Union Embassies Open House (Free / Kid Friendly)

Meet People - See Places - Learn Things - Have Fun - with one of our signature events of the year - the Around the World Embassy Open House!

More than 40 embassies will open their doors to DC visitors and residents Saturday, May 5. Participants can travel the world as they experience the food, art, dance, fashion, and music of different countries.

The advantage of coming with us is that we’ve participated in this event many times and can guide you through the crowds to visit the best locations. We’ll also hand out our Meetup name stickers so you can tell who is in our group and remember the names of your fellow embassy travelers.

Our group will meet at Dupont Circle and then visit several different embassies throughout the day. The exact embassies we’ll visit is TBD and will be announced a few days beforehand.

This event is open to the public and all are welcome. Guests are free to come along with us in visiting the 5-8 embassies we select, or venture off on their own since there will be over 40 embassies open.

For now, this is a save the date type announcement and more details will be provided later.

Embassy Row/Massachusetts Ave. Walking Tour - 6:30 pm Thursday, May 3
Washington National Cathedral Flower Mart - 4:00 pm, Friday, May4
Around the World Embassy Open House - 10:00 am, Saturday, May 5
European Union Embassy Open House - 10:00 am, Saturday, May 12

Registration: This FREE event is open to the public and all are welcome including children and groups.

Weather: This event is mostly indoors and will take place rain or shine.

Meeting Points - Choose Any of the Following:
8:00 - 8:30 = Krispy Kreme - 1350 Connecticut Ave NW
8:45 - 9:15 = Dupont Circle North Metro Station exit - Connecticut Ave/20th St/Q St. NW
9:30 - 10:00 = Outside of the first TBD embassy we’ll be visiting (doors open at 10:00)
10:00 -4:00 = The TBD embassies we’ll be visiting (tentative schedule a few days prior)

Ending Time: The event officially ends at 4:00 pm but guests are free to depart whenever they like. Our final location is TBD.
