Mid Week Motivator

We'll decide where to go when we meet. This will be held every Wednesday as long as there is any interest and the weather isn't too horrible. I'll send out an email by 10 am of the ride day if there is any change of plans. Count on at least 2 hours, perhaps as many as 4 or 5 in the summer, again depending on the weather and how we feel.

We would be happy to hold a second and concurrent "smell the roses" ride for those who would like a gentler experience. Leave a message in this ride notice if you are interested.

N.B. Start time has changed to 12 noon to give us more daylight.

Before attending a ride with Victoria Cycling Adventures I will complete the general Cycling Safety Quiz and the Meetup Procedures Quiz.

By attending this ride, I declare that I have read, understood and agree to the contents of Victoria Cycling Adventures Waiver and Policies and Procedures.

For your safety we will break the ride into smaller groups while on busy roads. Please familiarize yourself with our Cycling procedures for large groups.

If this is your first ride with us, please print, sign and bring with you a copy of our waiver.

In case of bad weather, we will reschedule this ride and substitute an Embrace The Rain Ride in its place. Hey - we live in a rain forest, its gonna rain! Let's learn to enjoy it. This will be a short ride in town with a stop to warm up and dry out.

We did a pre-ride for next Sunday's "Victoria Peak Experience". Good thing too, as my memory failed me for the first few stops and we missed Gonzalez Hill completely. Must admit, I wasn't feeling great at all to begin with, but by the time we hit the top of Mt. Tolmie I was in fine form. Just what I needed to get over a mid-week energy slump. No wind, no rain, just cold enough to be refreshing without being debilitating. Great ocean and mountain views of the Olympic and Mt. Baker ranges - very solemn and majestic in the BC winter shades of grey and low sunlight. Thanks to everyone who came!
