Mindfulness Teachings With Two Remarkable Teachers, Part 2 of 2

Details
Hello everyone,
Reclaim your personal power by bringing mindful habits into your daily life. Learn how this practice frees your finest qualities and lowers obstacles to how you can best manifest in the world.
If you think mindfulness is a way to detach from life, think again. You can cultivate a more balanced, holistic life full of the natural pleasures of relationships, work, humour and joy.
Use the different senses and various parts of the brain. Rediscover your strengths and find ways to develop those weaker areas.
Together we'lll explore useful tools for practicing in both daily and exceptional situations.
We're very fortunate to have two remarkable dharma teachers here in October. Doug Duncan (also known as Sensei) and Catherine Pawasarat will teach on mindfulness Friday and Saturday evenings, Oct 24th and 25th. More about them here

You'll get very juicy, thoughtful, and humorous teachings from them that will leave you thirsting for more. They're a treat! The second class will build on the first, so I strongly encourage you to attend both. You'll get a discount if you pay for both nights in advance.
Sensei and Catherine live by the bowl. What we contribute is what they live on. Please give as generously as you can to support the teachers and ensure the teachings are kept available. Developing our generosity is like developing any other muscle; it needs exercise to strengthen it!
Here's a video of one of Sensei's classes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCzLhypzFMM
Those who pitch in to be of service will be invited to a private outing with the teachers. This is a priceless opportunity to spend time with awakened people.
If you’d like to help with service work, known as karma yoga, please let me know. Karma yoga is an integral part of the path of awakening and is full of joy. There are a variety of things you can choose to do, from bringing flowers to greeting people at the door. I can say from long experience that service work is both a joy and a challenge, and ultimately of great benefit.
As they did last year, Sensei and Catherine will lead a retreat at Hollyhock titled “Cultivating Awareness”, from Oct 26th to the 31st. More details here http://www.hollyhock.ca/cms/Doug-Duncan.html
Thanks,
Lynn
