Was pondering drone technology for possible futuristic story setting ....Perhaps civilizations like ours do not survive for long enough to explore the universe (or time travelers from the future arrive in the present to save humankind from our climate-polluting ways) because they develop the technology to destroy themselves well before they develop the technology to travel between planets (or time travel); e.g. imagine airborne apocalyptic devices as seen in the video below: beginning with a nano-squadron of cloud-like assassins spreading a lethal pandemic, or targeting the ‘enemy’ ministries of war, i.e. WW III.
