What we’re about

Thank you for your interest in the Victorian Tea Society (VTS). If you have a love of tea and Victoriana—along with a sense of community spirit…this group is for you!
The Victorian Tea Society was formed in 1993. The group’s primary purpose is fund-raising for the Heritage Museum of Orange County. As a volunteer organization, our members donate their time and talents in an effort to support the museum through the teas and events we host. Each member is expected to serve at, assist in the set-up &/or clean-up and make food for two of our three annual teas. We consider ourselves most fortunate to have the Kellogg House and shade pavilion for the fund-raising teas we host for the museum.
In addition to fund-raising for the museum, we love having fun, making new friends and going on tea tramps. In the months we have not scheduled a tea, we have planned a fun activity. Ask about our calendar of events.
We all feel that the past is important. It is a rich heritage, one we should not lose sight of. These common interests, along with a desire to serve the public in a charitable pursuit, brought us together. Lest I forget, we love to dress up in our Victorian finery!
We do pay dues to as auxillary museum members ($30) with our year starting in June, and some events are paid members only.    Meetup gives you an opportunity to enjoy our teas with no pressure to join until you are ready to take the next step.
