Dear Community,

get ready for the 17th Knowledgefeed of the VDSG!

For those of you joining us for the first time, a short description below.

During these sessions we are inviting specialists presenting their hands-on experience, current project or simply ideas regarding topics related to our field of interest (the reason for this rather wide description is based on the wide scope of data science (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_science) itself... ;-)). Furthermore this gives you the opportunity to ask our lecturer of the evening questions, discuss your ideas and of course enjoy a beer in company of some interesting folks!

In addition please do not hesitate to present your own projects, ideas or thoughts...we are more than gladly sharing the stage with you! Data Market Austria and Data Science Continuing Education

This talk will begin by presenting Data Market Austria (http://datamarket.at), a recently-started project building a Data-Services Ecosystem in Austria. It will cover:

• What is the vision for Data Market Austria?

• How is DMA planned to develop?

• What are some of the technologies behind DMA?

• How can one participate in DMA?

• What are the requests from practitioners for DMA?

Finally, an outline of a Data Science Continuing Education (https://cec.tuwien.ac.at/home/EN/) course being developed at the TU Wien will be presented. Input on how to make this course better meet the requirements of practitioners is requested.
