Tableau and Structured Streaming in Spark

Details
This time we will have two talks:
Hands-on demo on Tableau
Michael Platzer will give a hands-on demo on Tableau. He introduced Tableau as a self-service data analysis and visualization platform to Nokia in 2011, and delivered since then with his team of data scientists from ad-hoc analytical reports to interactive web-based dashboards a wide variety of analytical solutions on top of Tableau. Later, he repeated similar for Microsoft, but on top of their BI stack.
Disclaimer: Michael is not a sales rep of Tableau, but still to this date, can get very excited about its possibilities. But please also note the price tag of 2'000 USD per desktop license!
For following the session you can bring your own laptop, and have either the 14day free trial license installed, or the free version Tableau Public: https://public.tableau.com/ .
Continuous Applications: Structured Streaming in Spark
There is a rise of streaming applications recently. Spark's focus is on creating a streaming solution, which is easy to use, provides delivery guarantees and which you can control by querying an ever-growing table of incoming structured data, just like how you would query any SQL database. After this talk, you will understand the motivations of Structured Streaming, Spark's take on modern streaming architecture, and see a live demo of it.
Bio: Zoltan is a Senior Spark Instructor at Databricks, the company founded by the creators of Spark. Earlier he built Prezi.com's data infrastructure and managed the team that scaled it crunching over a 1 Petabyte of data. He architects Big Data architectures and regularly gives Big Data and Spark training globally. You can see his profile at http://www.linkedin.com/in/zoltanctoth
