A native New Yorker, a teenage dishwasher and an alum of Cooper Union & NYU, Niels had stints in marketing, advertising and filmmaking before settling into a career developing and operating famed venues like Balthazar, Nobu, The Standard Hotel, and others. After two decades playing host to media moguls such as Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg and Rupert Murdoch, Niels recently began development on a radical new rating system with patent-pending technology best described as “Yelp on steroids for consumers and WikiLeaks for employees.” Niels is the single father of three young sons and a compulsive orchid grower.
