Microsoft Data Platform Meetup #2

Details
Hello, data enthusiasts!
We are happy to announce our second meetup. This time we will have a guest from Poland. Michał Żyliński works at Microsoft as a EMEA Cloud Big Data & Big Compute Technical Lead.
- Hadoop and its alternatives: deploying Lambda architecture on top of Microsoft Azure platform - Level 300 - Michał Żyliński (40 min)
Real-time event processing is becoming nowadays crucial part of many big data systems. It does require different architectural approach when compared to - historically - batch-oriented Hadoop workloads. During this session, we’ll discuss the basics of lambda architecture, options of deploying it in cloud-based environments and real-world examples of such implementations.
- Azure Stream Analytics: Hands-on exercises on processing car's telemetry events - Level 200 - Valdas Maksimavicius (40 min)
Azure Stream Analytics (ASA) is a fully managed cloud service for real-time processing of streaming data. ASA supports multiple different types of inputs and outputs, offering a high-level SQL-like language to transform data. We'll investigate what it takes to create, manage and debug streaming jobs, using car's telemetry data to showcase the possibilities.
Technical Session Levels (100, 200, 300, and 400) (https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/ieitpro/2006/09/29/microsofts-standard-level-definitions-100-to-400/)
