Learning React in 2017

In this presentation I'm going to talk about our journey to React and what we have learned during this process. I'm going to present our initial motivations for switching to React, our React learning experience and the practices which we have established in our company, because of that. Finally, I'm going to give you a blueprint on how to learn React in 2017.

Dovydas Čeilutka

My name is Dovydas and I am a student of JavaScript. I was always working as a JavaScript developer, sometimes touching the full stack a bit, but I consider myself to be a frontender. I was lucky enough to get a number of opportunities to teach others. My students ranged from total beginners to advanced developers, who taught me as much as I've taught them. Currently, I am working as a front end lead in Tesonet, where I am helping the front end team move to React.

GraphQL: Take Two

This will give shivers to all the back-end developers. A talk where front-end developer shows how to build a GraphQL server. With JavaScript.
The talk will cover only GraphQL as a server, starting with the basics, we’ll do a deeper dive with actual code. I’ll explain our use case and lessons learned. Also some insights into main concerns and possible solutions.

Martynas Bardauskas

Martynas is front-end developer at Wix, currently part of the team building Wix’s mobile presence with React Native. He’s a professional JavaScript developer with architectural background (not systems architecture by the way). Believer in type safety (yay TypeScript). Enjoys sharing his knowledge.
