Node.js from inside: profiling and myths
Node.js and Java have some similarities, for instance, Garbage Collector and Heap. Even more, specific Java frameworks such as Vert.x makes Java app run on a single thread - the same way Node.js runs our scripts. Therefore, we could use lessons to solve some issues when looking inside grandpa Java to observe similar issues within the internals of teenage Node.js. Let's break few myths too :)
I had a very natural evolution as a developer: got my first PC when I was 6 to mostly play games with it, then realized the magic of programming when picked up a Pascal book when I was around 12, created few crappy websites with PHP when I was 16, was talked into Java/.NET world when I was 20, and finally took the right path with JS when I was 30. I now experience the best time in my career :)
