Vilnius.js Meetup October 2021

For the second meetup of this season we will have a speaker, Igor Savin, who is also active in open-source. Igor will present a popular Node.js SQL builder library Knex.js. Afterwards, instead of a second talk, we will again have some time for discussions.

💡 The meetup will be held in english both online & onsite (Wix Office, Didžioji str. 28).

National Certificate (Galimybių Pasas) and ID is required and will be checked upon entering. Also take your mask - you will have to wear it in all spaces.

📣 “Knex.js and persistence layer best practices in Node.js” by Igor Savin

In this talk we will introduce SQL builder Knex.js as well as lightweight wrapper knex-repositories, and talk about best practices for implementing and testing the data access layer in Node.js.

👨‍💻 Bio: Igor Savin

Igor is a lead maintainer of Knex.js and a maintainer of fastify and pino, as well as of many other open source projects. He used to work at Adidas, Booking.com and Vinted in the past, and now is a principal engineer in a fintech startup Elastum.
