What we're about
Ving Tsun in the Park is an open group for people interested in learning/practising the basic form and philosophy of Ving Tsun (Wing Chun), either to complement their existing martial arts training through learning the tenets of Ving Tsun, and/or for the health benefits provided by this form of activity. This group is therefore relevant to all martial artists, from Jui-Jitsu, Karate, Jeet Kune Do, Krav Maga, to Tai Chi and Yoga practitioners etc. Ideally, we would look to meet once or twice a month in Memorial Park to practise forms. The core concepts promoted by Ving Tsun are: * centreline * economy of motion * appropriate use of tension and relaxation * balance and neutrality * structural integrity and mobility * controlling distance * controlled application of force * simultaneous attack and defence As a student of the Moy Tung VT family, I welcome students of other lineages to attend to broaden our training and for friendly exchange of ideas/concepts.
