On our next meetup we would like to invite you to hear about and discuss Fintech opportunities in Africa. Meetup speaker include Amit Shur who is the Co-Founder and CEO of SnapCredit (http://snapcredit.ng/), an innovative consumer credit platform targeting the employed middle class in emerging markets, Boaz Jacobi who is the Co-Founder and CEO of Fido Solutions Limited (http://www.fidocredit.com/) which provides fast micro loans to individuals and SOHO's in Africa, and Dr. Dan Marom, CEO at Irrational Innovations - a venture builder with a mission to develop impactful technological ventures that address major financial challenges in emerging markets, primarily in sub-Saharan Africa.

About Dan Marom

Dan, Fin-Tech expert, trained as an engineer and spent several years in R&D before founding and becoming CEO of an Israeli startup. Later he became an expert on alternative finance and crowdfunding, writing the first book on the crowdfunding phenomenon and advising international organizations such as the World Bank and the European Commission. He is an angel investor, serves as a board member in several fintech-related ventures, and teaches entrepreneurial finance and crowd power in leading universities in Israel and Europe. Dan holds a PhD in Finance.

About Amit Shur

SnapCredit (www.SnapCredit.ng) is an innovative online lending platform targeting the middle class in emerging markets. The company developed a unique platform that connects with employers in order to provide their employees an easy way to access credit seamlessly. The company operates in Nigeria and has an R&D center in Tel-Aviv. Amit comes from extensive entrepreneurial background coupled with banking experience. Amit was formerly the head of the R&D unit at Bank Leumi and has been actively involved in a variety of consumer facing internet ventures in the last few years.

About Boaz Jacobi

Boaz Jacobi is the Co-Founder and CEO of FIDO Solutions Ltd, a fast growing Fintech company operating in Sub-Saharan Africa that targets to reshape the way financial services are provided in Africa. Boaz has previously held several leading product management and business development positions with a track record of producing, presenting and managing the implementation of innovative business solutions. Boaz holds a B.Sc in Computer Science at Haifa University, within the BA Honors Program.
