Upcoming events (5)

Weekly JFO Prayer Laboratory

Unity Church of Tidewater

This will be part book club, part prayer group and all prayer laboratory. We will work through "I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes" by Dr. Glenn Clark and work on making our conscious and unconscious minds like hind's feet. Dr. Clark created the Camps Farthest out movement in the 1930s and it lives on today as Journey Farthest Out (www.jfocamps.com). Glenn Clark’s vision was to create a camp where one can find balance physically, mentally, and spiritually. His intention was for us to steep ourselves in prayer so deeply that it becomes integrated into our very bodies and manifested in all we say and do. Prayer laboratories are the foundation of the camps where one can explore their inner spirituality and find ways to go farther out in relationship with God. This meet up will pull the Prayer Lab from the context of the camp with the goal of enhancing our walk with Christ. The group is open to all who seek a safe and nurturing environment for Christian prayer and those who want to learn and apply more deeply the teachings of Jesus Christ in the process of answered prayer.
