PlatformIO: a cross-platform IoT solution to build them all!

  • May 5, 2016 · 8:00 AM

This is a virtual Meetup occurring at 8AM Pacific time (11am Eastern, 5pm Central European Standard Time). For help with your timezone calculation, refer to this

The meetup will be held on Google Hangouts and you will be able to watch the live stream directly on YouTube.

PlatformIO is an open source environment for IoT development based on a cross-platform build system and a library manager. It's simplifying continuous integration (including in the cloud!) of IoT systems and is well integrated with IDEs like Eclipse. It is compatible with Arduino, mbed, Energia, CMSIS, and much more.

In this webinar we will go through some of the key features of PlatformIO, and demonstrate how you can use it from your Eclipse IDE.

Speaker: Ivan Kravets

Ivan Kravets is the founder and CTO of PlatformIO which he founded in 2014 to make using micro-controllers easier for such end users that don’t have deep knowledge in electronics and embedded programming.

We support only GCC-based toolchain in PlatformIO 2.0. However, we have an opened issue ( https://github.com/pla... ) for PlatformIO 3.0 where you will be able to create own development platform.

    Hi Ivan and Benjamin.

Quick question: can program my STM32 module in mbed framework using Platform IO? Reason why I'm asking this is that, I just don't wanna go to mbed.com every time I code ST boards :-)

    Thanks

Oh, I think you already answered this at the moment!
