The loss of a pet is a devastating time. Our pets play many roles in our lives including best friends/family members and soul mates. It's important to know that you are not alone and that it is possible to heal from such a loss.
During this challenging time of social distancing and isolation, the loss of a pet - no matter how long it has been - can intensify making the healing process even more difficult. Come and get the support you need and deserve as we meet virtually to support each other. This group is meant for those who have lost a pet or are going through an end-of-life situation with their beloved pets.
The group is led by a Certified Pet Loss Specialist (also a Pet Mom who has gone through and healed from the loss of her fur-kid). I understand how deep the pain can be and am here to walk by your side as you take the steps towards healings. It's my goal to facilitate the group by allowing those grieving to share their feelings and help facilitate the healing process by offering suggestions on how to get through this most difficult and trying time. Anyone who is grieving the loss of a pet or the expected loss of a pet is welcome to join the group. I also offer virtual individual support for those needing more support.
Our group will meet virtually using Zoom. It's not necessary to use the video application if you don't want to and you can even call in by telephone.
We ask for a donation of $15 to cover the costs but there is a sliding scale available.
