Your requests have been answered and we are fortunate to have Dr John Hawkins from Boston start-up DataRobot (based in Sydney) for tonight's meetup. This is our first international speaker (in country) so expecting a big crowd to attend!

John completed his PhD in Applied Machine Learning at the University of Queensland and then conducted research at Universities in Australia and Germany building predictive models of protein behaviour and function. He left academia to work as a consultant applying machine learning and data science for multiple businesses in Australia including Commonwealth Bank of Australia (owner of ASB) and Channel 9.

John will demonstrate how you can build and deploy machine learning models without needing to write code using DataRobot. The tool automates the entire model building life-cycle, enabling users to quickly and easily deploy highly accurate predictive models providing useful visual interactive features. The only ingredients needed are curiosity and lots of data — coding and machine learning skills are completely optional!

As a break from the Artificial Intelligence we'll also have a short presentation by the Real (and Intelligent) Jo Munro, Business Analyst at Countdown. Jo helps organising the She Loves Data event in Auckland on the 3rd of July (yes, that's the Tuesday before this Meetup) where 160 female data-enthusiasts-to-be are introduced to all things data and analytics. Jo will give us a summary of what the She Loves Data events are about, what was covered at the event on Tuesday and how you can get involved.

Please register early not to miss out, and please if you are not able to attend release your attendance so someone else can attend.

Many Thanks
