Introduction to OLAP

What is the difference between OLTP and OLAP database designs?

In this talk, Don’t Panic Labs Software Engineer Tony Wilsman will give an introduction to what an OLAP database schema is and how they differ from other database schemas you might be familiar with.

OLAP (online analytical processing) schemas are designed to enable ease of reporting and analysis across large operational data sets whereas OLTP (online transaction processing) schemas are designed to make it easier to support transaction processing systems that we are more familiar with.

While there is no actual poetry, we are throwing open the doors to Don't Panic Labs for the community to learn alongside our team.
