Happy new year everyone!

It's time to kick-off VueJS Manchester Season 2.

Our main guest for the night will be Danny Connell, one of our local community members. Danny is a full-time indie app developer, creator of popular cross-platform apps such as Fudget & Movie Scores and organiser of the Manchester App Entrepreneurs meetup. He will be introducing all of us to the Quasar framework which is built on top of Vue. Danny will give a 30 minutes presentation where he talks about Quasar and then moves to the terminal to demonstrate how to create a Vue.js app and then deploy it to the web, mobile & desktop. Come see him in action and get your Quasar related questions answered!

We have roughly 15 minutes left for the grabs for somebody else to step in and do a talk/demo. It does not have to be that long so anything will do. Just get in touch with me and we can sort it out!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all of us!! The meetup will be turning 1 year since our first event (which we had on the 1st of February 2018). If all goes well we should have lots of stickers branded with our lovely logo. Don't miss them out!

FREE RAFFLE TICKET GIVEAWAY. We are a proud supporter of VueDay, the first international conference in Italy about VueJS which is being held in Verona on Friday the 12th of April 2019. The organisers there have kindly given us a free ticket. All attendees will be entered in a raffle with a chance to win it (ticket value €75-125). We also have further discounts to the same event which we will be sharing on the night.

Agenda:

6:30 - Arrive at our venue

6:30-6:45 - Food, drinks, chat

6:45-6:55 - Intro

6:55-7:10 - TBC

7:10-7:55 - Quasar framework with Danny Connell

Don't forget, we are always on the lookout for speakers. Did you work on something exciting lately? Or maybe you think you can fill a gap on something we have not covered just yet. If that's so, then step in and do a 5-15min talk. It will be greatly appreciated by your colleagues in the community!
