We are fast approaching the end of the year but we cannot close the curtains on 2020 without one last event!
We have quite an impressive line-up for our third virtual meetup. They will be focusing on Nuxt.js & JAMStack, which I'm sure everyone knows a thing or two about. Don't forget, our little, outdated Vue.js Manchester app it's built with Nuxt! 😁
In the first half, we have Samuel Snopko, who will be fast and hopefully not so furious at delivering his presentation. Samuel will show us the fastest possible way to connect our Nuxt.js (Vue.js) project to the headless CMS and deploy it in seconds. There are some prerequisites like Nuxt.js, headless CMS in general or JAMstack as there will be no time to describe the concepts in detail. In the end, we will all be furious how insanely good the JAMstack is!
Samuel is a Creative FrontEnd Knight & DesignOps enthusiast with a passion for JAMStack and beautiful web. He found himself in love with CSS & Vue & Nuxt and after a long search in the world of headless CMSs, he discovered Storyblok. He advocated in its name and he joined the company in 2020 as head of the developer relationships. Now, some people call him - Mr. Storyblok.
In the second half, Mikey Smith & Michael Henley will be sharing the highlights of their particular headache at MoneySuperMarket and how that left them with lots of key stakeholders, all with competing objectives. We will find out how they built a Content Management Platform at scale to keep Developers, Authors and Google happy using Microfrontends, Vue.js and Server Side Rendering.
Having spent 20 years’ learning software craftsmanship and leadership in differing roles and in a variety of industries, as Head of Engineering for MoneySuperMarket, Mikey is now focused on challenging and developing individuals to level up and build great software using technology to drive business outcomes.
Michael is a Senior FrontEnd Developer at MSM who has spent the last two years helping MSM users save money. He has been at the core of re-platforming the content management system and has found a successful, scalable relationship with Microfrontends, Node.js and Vue.js.
