What we’re about
Welcome to West L.A Artists Group. Now hosted by Kline Academy in west Los Angeles at 3264 Motor Avenue, Los Angeles, 90034. We will continue to provide opportunites for all artists interested in drawing the live model for those seeking both instructed and uninstructed venues.
Once per month in conjunction with Gallery Girls we will be hosting an Art Brunch un-instructed drawing. Come and enjoy fantastic costumed models in ONE LONG 4 HOUR POSE every first Sunday of the month starting August 5th. 10:30am to 2:30pm. Food starts at 10:00am so you can set up & get a good spot. Only $25 prepaid $30 at the door (photos ok to finish artwork, $10 extra).
Every week we will continue to offer several options for excellent instructed life drawing classes...
Wednesday eves is an awesome opportunity for concept and gaming artists who want to hone their quick sketch abilities. "Quick Sketch" is instructed by Esmeralda Acosta who studied with Kevin Chin and many other great concept artists, check out her blog and see for your self. If you have an opportunity to study with her your drawings will show it within a short time. You can learn more about our Quick Sketch at:

Every Saturday afternoon Brianna Lee conducts an Academic Drawing Concepts class. Drop ins are always welcome but you will want to sign up for her course. I have never seen such progress in students drawings as I have with hers since her way to articulate hits all the right areas where students struggle. This is an excellent opportunity.
If you are new to the academic drawing scene, you may want to start the way they did in the French Salons ... by doing "Bargues." Starting from plaster casts you will draw your way to mastering sight-sizing and Comparative Measurement in order to accurately draw what you see. Students have cried after their first drawing because they could not believe they did so well. This class is designed for all levels. You can learn more about sight sizing on our blog at:
