What we're about

Welcome to Sisters of Aya!!

Sisters of Aya is a Support Group for Women of Color who have experienced pregnancy and infancy loss. It is a group where women of color can just be themselves - Fabulous! It is a safe, warm, welcoming, and open place for us to grieve without judging ourselves or have others judge us. We, as women of color, are taught to just keep moving and to not acknowledge the true trauma caused from losing a child. We need to break the silence and stigma associated with pregnancy and infant loss within our community.

Aya is an African symbol of endurance and resourcefulness. Ladies while you have endured and survived many adversities in your lives, you are still Strong, Beautiful and Talentedl!!! Sisters of Aya, the support and crafts, will help us take care of ourselves and heal from within. This is an unique 2-week group that allows women of color to collectively grieve, love, and support each other, while we engage in various craft activities to tap into our creative side.
