WordPress Northern Ireland - January Meetup

WPNI (WordPress Northern Ireland) meets every 2nd Wednesday of each month in the Event Space, within Farset Labs, Belfast.

We start at 6:30pm and run till 9pm.

This month we look at image optimisation, and preventing your images from slowing your site. First we will take a look at using Photoshop & similar packages to prepare your images. Then in the technical session we will have a look at the Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) to speed up the serving of images on your WordPress site.

Our Meetup this month will have the following sessions:

6:30pm – 7:00pm General WordPress chat - What's happening in WordPress in general, and also WPNI.

7:00pm – 7:30pm General Session: Preparing images for your site

7:30pm – 8:00pmTechnical Session: (AWS) Amazon Web Services using the Amazon S3 system to speed up your site.

7:30pm – 7:45pm Q&A's on the nights topic

8:00pm – 9:00pm WordPress Surgery: Ask any WordPress questions and we, as a group will try to help you resolve them.
