*Dave Green is a web developer from sunny Manchester specialising in Front-end, WordPress and WooCommerce. He has been building for the web using WordPress for over five years and is a senior developer at Make Do: a team of engineers and designers specialising in WordPress development. He also lives in constant fear of Skynet, and is preparing for judgement day...

**Topic Description: WordPress Coding Standards have been around for a while, yet many developers don’t write code that conforms with them, let alone know they exist. This was the case with me until September 2015 when I made the switch for writing PHP, and now I wish I’d dived in earlier! In this talk I’ll explain what they are, how they will help you write better, cleaner and more secure code and why you should be using them for all WordPress projects.

We are always looking for topics that people want to discuss. If you have a question or something you want to learn about, please comment below or use the discussion board and we will do our best to accommodate your questions!
