Disruptive Development
Low-Code / No-Code, More Code ... Code! In this talk David Pine, Microsoft MVP and Technology Evangelist will explain the appropriate scenarios for choosing Low-Code / No-Code platforms over a more traditional truly developer centric mindset. We'll collectively weigh the pros and cons. We'll dip our toes into the notion of software craftsmanship and discuss the future of development. Attendees can expect to walk away from this talk with an understanding and appreciation of the various coding options available to them. Where is the Code? AWS Lamba / Serverless Andy Hall, VP of Operations and Cloud Solution Architect at Centare will explain the why behind AWS Lamba and other Serverless environments. In addition, you will learn what it is and how AWS Lambda allows small businesses up to global enterprises to effectively develop microservice-based applications and implement them using the container farm idea – small, isolated services, each in its own container, just without the management headache. Blockchain – Any Code? Alec Shaw, Co-Founder of the Marquette University Blockchain Lab will explain in normal human understandable terms what blockchain is, software development approaches to building a Blockchain, current and future uses cases, and how to determine if Blockchain should be considered for your use case.
