The Future of the Data Center

***PLEASE REGISTER AT WWW.WTAWI.ORG*** Come join WTA and three great speakers, as we learn about what the future of the Data Center is, and how we should be addressing some tough business questions on when and who should still be using it, versus moving to the cloud. The format of this meeting, will include three guest speakers, followed by a panel discussion on this topic, and of course, networking at the end! About our speakers/panelists: Kerrie Hoffman: Kerrie is a serial entrepreneur and free lancer specializing in business growth and Digital business. She is Co-founder and principal for Get Digital Velocity, working with large enterprises to accelerate the move to friction-less business. In addition, Kerrie is owner of a FocalPoint Business Coaching Practice, working with small and mid-size companies as a certified business coach and digital advisor. Scott Arnett: Scott is an IT & Security Professional Executive with over 30 years experience in IT. Scott has worked in various industries such as health care, insurance, and manufacturing, just to name a few. Scott has been consistently recognized as someone who can not only "connect the dots", but who can also create a workable solution. Some of the areas that Scott is going to focus on include: Leveraging lessons learned from a successful career architecting, building, securing, moving, and migrating enterprise data centers to public or private cloud and hosting platforms, Scott’s presentation will offer WTA members and guests valuable insight and guidance including: · The importance of critically analyzing your requirements and workloads to determine if moving workloads to the cloud is even the right choice. · Best practices decision tree for what should stay on-prem vs hybrid vs cloud · Data center asset depreciation status and other financial considerations that could impact ROI. · Identifying the “low hanging fruit” that can be moved to the cloud for quick wins.
