Third Monday Open Men Circle Corvallis
Join us for the Corvallis Open Men's Group We'll gather to sit in circle with other men to share a deeper connection to truth, to ourselves and to the people in our lives. Join this group if you have pondered these questions or others like them: How do I show up in the world? What blocks me from achieving my dreams? How can I become a better partner, son, father, brother, and man in the world? All men are welcome to bring themselves and their life experiences to this circle, where we truly learn from each other. Participation is completely voluntary, and confidentiality is paramount. We're not affiliated with any religious or political organizations -- all beliefs are welcome here. We're expecting 10 to 15 men at each meeting on the 3rd Monday of the month. Meetings are free and we encourage you to join us regardless of your previous experience with men's work. IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS: • Circling is a practice that is most effective when everyone shows up fully present. Please arrive well rested, nourished, and with a clear and unaltered mind (this includes not having alcohol or cannabis beforehand). • Please also note that this is not a therapeutic setting, and the facilitators are not trained counselors or psychiatrists. If you have needs for a trained counselor, this practice should not be considered a substitute for any recommended care by a trained professional. • If you signed up but are unable to attend, please make sure to update your RVSP status, even if it's last minute. • If you end up on the waiting list, please check your status as the event approaches, as spots frequently open up. • Plan to arrive on time, as your timeliness helps ensure the flow of the meeting is not interrupted. • Please stay for the full duration of the event. If you have a conflict that requires you to leave early, inform one of the organizers prior to the start of the event. • If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask one of the organizers. TO REGISTER: Please RSVP on Meetup to reserve your seat and to help us to plan for the group. Please change your RSVP if your plans change!

What we're about

This meetup is for pubic education and outreach events in Oregon of the Willamette Valley community of the Mankind Project.

We are a group of men who sit in circle in the mid-Willamette Valley (Corvallis and Eugene) area to share a deeper connection to truth, accountability and integrity. What does it mean to draw clean boundaries and own my projections? How do I show up in the world and what blocks me from achieving my dream? How can I become a better partner, son, father, brother or friend?

All men are welcome to this circle. Participation is completely voluntary and confidentiality is paramount.

The ManKind Project (see www.mkp.org) is a global network of over 1,000 peer-facilitated men's groups serving close to 10,000 men each week. In an MKP men's group, men mentor men through the passages of their lives. The ManKind Project empowers men to missions of service, supporting men to make a difference in the lives of others - men, women, and children around the world. We help men through any transition, men at all levels of success, men facing almost any challenge. Our flagship training, described by many as the most powerful men's training available, is the New Warrior Training Adventure.

The ManKind Project (MKP) is not affiliated with any religious practice or political party. We strive to be increasingly inclusive and affirming of cultural differences, especially with respect to color, class, sexual orientation, faith, age, ability, ethnicity, and nationality. (For details on MKP in the Pacific Northwest, see www.mkp.org)
