Welcome back! Let's talk about WordPress and Gutenberg.

This is the first meeting back for the Waco WordPress Meetup after 3 years off, so welcome back everyone! We're re-activating this group to build a local community around the world's most popular CMS, WordPress. For this first meeting, we'll talk about what we want this group to be and where we want to see it go, and then we'll talk about the exciting new visual editor for WordPress, Gutenberg.

Gutenberg is a new publishing experience for WordPress that will be part of the WordPress core starting in version 5. During this meetup, we will take a look at the new editor and talk about how it will affect how you manage your content in WordPress.

Oh yeah, I also have some cool WordPress buttons and stickers to share with everyone who attends. Who doesn't like buttons and stickers?

This meeting will take place at lunch time, so you'll need to eat before or after the meeting or bring a lunch with you. The awesome new coworking space, WacoWork, has graciously agreed to host this meetup group, and we couldn't be more excited. They are also offering discounted day passes, so you can work there the day of the meeting.
