These Adults are moving more, having fun and feeling great. What’s their secret? It is our new A50+ program and it has something for everyone. The activities are affordable or free and all labeled as Fun and Social! All Adults in the Wakefield, La Peche and surrounding areas are welcome to join our group and attend our activities.

SENIOR CAFÉ Since 2006 we have been enjoying Monday morning with friends at the Senior Café. We start with a few announcements, celebrations and a light BeActive health break along with coffee and homemade goodies. The next hour is free time to play cards, games, visit the library or chat with friends. Centre Wakefield La Pêche, Monday, 10:00am-noon, $3 drop-in.
NORDIC WALKING: Nordic Walking is a great way to start your week. A group of us meet on Monday morning and hike the Sentiers Wakefield Trails or walk through the village. The poles are provided, please dress for the weather. Centre Wakefield La Pêche in front of the Centre, Monday 8:30am-9:30am, Free drop-in.

Workshop April 3, 2019 10:30-noon : Learn all about the A50+ and the new BeActive Wakefield ViActiveprograms.
NEW- starts April 10! This exercise program is sponsored by The New Horizons for Seniors Program and is based on the ViActive 50+ practices. You will be improving your endurance, strength, balance, and flexibility. You will be working at your own pace and at the level that is best for you while sitting and/or standing. Centre Wakefield La Pêche, Wednesday, 9:30am-10:30am, $5 drop-in.
PICKLEBALL
Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. It’s fun for all ages from 18 to 81. We have the paddles, balls, and coaches.

The monthly Wellness Wednesday Workshops provide us the opportunity to learn something new, share a coffee and socialize with friends. Centre Wakefield La Pêche, 10:30am-noon. Donations.

. May 1: Nordic Walking, learn the benefits and the technique. Borrow a pair of poles for 2 weeks to Nordic Walk at home. If the weather is good, we will walk outdoors at 11:30am.
. June 5: Geocaching 101, bring your GPS or phone to find treasures in Wakefield. If the weather is good, we will go outdoors at 11:30.
