What we're about

Please note: WISH is primarily an in-person group. At this time while our in-person meetings are on hold due to covid-19, we are not adding new members. Please check back and we'll update this site when we resume in-person meetings.

In the meantime, if you would like to learn more about Waldorf education and opportunities for Waldorf homeschoolers, you are welcome to call WISH Founder, Sandi: 916-606-0799.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Founded in 2002, WISH (Waldorf-Inspired Sacramento Homeschoolers) provides support, encouragement, friendship, and a sense of community to Sacramento area homeschool families who are interested in or already working with Waldorf methods/ideas. Also welcome are families whose values generally align with Waldorf ideas, i.e. enjoy time in nature, low media, healthy eating, seasonal festivals, creating rhythm in family life, and providing developmentally-based learning opportunities.

WISH members create a vibrant community through regular park days, festivals including May Day, Michaelmas, Martinmas and the Advent Spiral, seasonal and curriculum-based field trips, parents’ night outs, and camping trips.

Weekly meetings are primarily held in natural park settings. There are no religious affiliation requirements for our members; members choose their own spiritual paths and respect individual choice in this matter.
