We are excited to announce a special summer Walk with a Doc event with Mount Sinai Heart on August 19th at 8:00 AM in Hatch Auditorium at Mount Sinai Hospital. Get your blood pressure screened (plan to arrive 15 minutes early if interested), and enjoy coffee, light snacks, as well as the opportunity to exercise and learn alongside Mount Sinai physicians and medical students.

We are grateful to be joined by Dr. Jeffrey Mechanick, a nationally recognized leader in lifestyle medicine, who will lead off the event by sharing his insight and experience in diabetes management, nutrition and metabolic support, and obesity and lifestyle medicine. An individually paced walk (with faculty, staff, and patients) will follow around the bridle path of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in Central Park.

Dr. Mechanick's distinctions and experiences include service as a member of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition (PCFSN) Science Board and as Editor-in-Chief of the PCFSN quarterly publication Elevate Health. He is the current President of the American College of Endocrinology and has authored over 300 publications in endocrinology, metabolism, and nutrition support.
