Welcome to America's Walking Club Meetup sponsored by the Oregon Trail State Volkssport Association (OTSVA). Like to walk? Tired of walking alone? Bored with your usual routes? We walk in ones, twos and more over different distances and terrains in different cities and neighborhoods two or more times a week most of the year. Our basic walks are 6.2 miles (10km) but almost all have 3.1 mile (5km) or other distances to fit whomever shows for the walk that day. We walk in forests and towns, on flat and hilly surfaces, and can accommodate any speed walker. We cheerfully leave no walker behind. In most cases we allow your well behaved furry friends to join too. We don't charge a monthly fee, but do ask for small donations to help us continue our walks. If you like walking with us please feel free to ask about joining our club as we would love to get you started as a new member. Hope to see you on the trail soon!
Upcoming events (4+)
Join a group lead 5K or 10K walk. Walk in residential districts and into beautiful Laurelhurst Park. Walk continues along Hawthorne Blvd. with unique shops, exotic restaurants and interesting people. Walk also goes down Peacock Lane known for their Christmas Decorations the last 2 weeks in Dec. Register 9:40 TO 9:55 AM. Registration will be on the east side of the main hospital building on the outside if the weather is nice. Masks might be required if inside. These walks are rated 1A, easy. We walk about 3 miles per hour. Please arrive early to sign in so the walk can start at 10 am.
Directions: I-84 Eastbound to Exit 3, 58th Ave. Right at signal, Glisan St., to 49th. Right to parking garage. I-84 Westbound to Exit 2, 43rd Ave. Right at signal, Halsey St. to 47th. Right to Glisan. Left on Glisan to 49th. Left to parking garage. Start box cabinet is located adjacent to the Social Room in Providence Hall at the 49th Ave entry. Join us for a 5K or 10K guided walk. Participate in one of the sanctioned events for National Walk Week. This resurrects one of our older Cedar Miler walks in the Murrayhill area. We'll be visiting several small parks and traveling along the regional power line path. These walks are rated 3A, Some significant hill (elevation gain[masked] feet). The 5K has a 1/4 mile section that is a 14% grade.
Registration is from 9:30 to 9:55 am. Please arrive early to sign in so the walk can start at 10 am.
Start: Murrayhill Safeway, 14555 SW Teal Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97007
From Hwy 217, take the SW Scholls Ferry Rd exit and turn west. Turn
right at SW Murray Blvd, then left at SW Teal Rd and immediately right
into the Safeway parking lot.

Join a group lead 5K or 10K walk. Walk in residential districts of Irvington and Grant with many beautiful and historic homes and parks. These walks are rated 1A, easy. We walk about 3 miles per hour.
Register between 9:40 to 9:55 am. Registration at Food Court on 3rd floor in the Lloyd Center Food Court. Please arrive early to sign in so the walks can start at 10 am. Please note for registration that the Lloyd Center does not officially open till 11am. However, Barnes and Noble opens at 10am and the door on level 2 in the parking garage at the far end from Halsey is normally open earlier than 10. If it is locked, registration will be in the parking lot next to the door.

Join a 5K or 10K group lead walk. Walk on portions of the Springwater Trail to the Butler Creek Trail. Walk on paved streets and wooded trails passing over pedestrian and woodland bridges to Binford Lake and Butler Creek Park. These walks are rated 2B, moderate. We walk about 3 miles per hour.
Register from 9:40 am to 9:55 am at the Highland Safeway parking lot, 1011 SW Highland Drive, Gresham, OR. Please arrive early to register so the walk can start at 10 am.
