Coyote Valley Family Farm Feast

UPDATE THURSDAY mAY 9:  RSVPs are closed out for the Meetup itself as final emails have been sent out by Meetup organizers.  If you would still like to go, please sign up directly through Eventbrite and go on your own!

This event is sponsored by the Open Space Authority and others, and I'm shamelessly copying what Teri Rogoway says on her site.

Coyote Valley Family Farm Feast - Free Admission!

Presented by Santa Clara County Open Space Authority, Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF) and The Museums of Los Gatos

Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve

[masked] Palm Avenue, Morgan Hill

Saturday, May 11 from 11:00am - 4:00pm

Join us for an outdoor festival featuring delicious multicultural foods with fresh ingredients from nearby farmers. Entertainment line-up will feature Andy Z – the award-winning singer and songwriter, Olga Loya – Master Multicultural Storyteller, the Cornish Blue Grass Band and more! Activities include guided hikes, ice cream-making, Nepali dance and games galore! There is no charge for admission and food will be available for purchase at reasonable prices.

We'll probably have some carpool spots available from Sunnyvale or farther south in San Jose, but we won't really have a specific meetup place at the event.  Each person will be free to pursue his/her interests or stick together.

"Hey here is the link to eventbrite to register for the Family Farm to Feast Event. It's another way that Open Space is keeping track of how many people are coming. Please do go here and sign in so we can count everyone who wants to come. (You don't have to have a reservation but it will help us gauge how much food to arrange for and things like that.)

Going to Austin that weekend, and at this time, I am unable to be in two places at the same time. EnJoy!

It's been a while since I've been to an event! I'd like to join- prefer to ride with a carpool that has a stop in South San Jose.

We were just talking about you today, Meetha, and saying how we miss you! If we don't fill up the car heading down from Sunnyvale, we'll be glad to stop and pick you up.

Hi Kathleen, is this a dog friendly event?

    • Kathleen

I am not the one planning the event so you might check with the organizers, but it's hard to imagine dogs being the greatest thing to bring to a mostly food event. We personally like dogs a lot, but have some group members who are allergic to them, and a tiny one tripped Ron causing him substantial injury on a hike a few years ago, so we usually don't have dogs along on events. But since we won't be sticking together as a group, that part wouldn't matter.
