What we're about
Just an excuse to get together locally, with peers. I envision themed (movies, potlucks, discussions, games, crafts, whatever you're hosting) get-togethers at my own or your place, as well as activities near me. Yep, me. Suburbs. Maybe weekend trips if we like eachother.
JOINING: Use your pic, list your age, read the rules, and don't be an arz. (A couple members emailed me their pic for privacy reasons, message me if that's a concern.)
THE RULES TO HAUNT ALL EVENTS:
1) WAIT-LIST: If one starts, do join. People cancel or are removed for some of these reasons:
2) NO-SHOWS: It's trully rude to leave a host waiting all alone, even in their own home. RSVP ahead of time, definitly, but if something changes, change your RSVP. Find a way not to forget about your "yes". We'll have a three strikes rule for no-shows. Emergencies don't count.
3) CONFIRMATIONS: Hopefully we, unlike the wider meetup "them", will give event hosts the same courtesy as to our friends = don't bail. Untill then, confirmations, as your way of saying you're still in. Picture it... it sucks just as much as a herd of no-shows, to have every member properly cancel at the last minute. You're still all alone somewhere, with a sad bottle of wine. So, to counteract this tendancy, I'll email RSVPs a certain amount of days before an event. You must click "reply" and say that you're confirmig your RSVP, or log on and change your RSVP to no. Do this by the deadline specified, after which I'll remove/waitlist the none respondents.
4) You don't have to be officially liberal, but you must be a true ally to all things equality and individual path/ choice/ way.
Keywords that don't be "topics": Fort Washington, Ambler, Flour Town, Plymouth, (what else is around here?).
