What we're about

Calling Seniors looking for like-minded souls with the GOAL to live at home and Age in Place, who isn't doing anything much at the moment but wants to or knows they need to for their health. We will meet and talk, make new friends and eat and have fun. Helpful talk and discussion at every get together. Come with questions, leave empowered and educated to make the best decisions for you. We will also discuss events as a group including day trips and special outings. I started this group to help Seniors keep active so they can continue to live at home. Every Meetup will be an "on your own" for purchase, unless stated, venues will change for variety. RSVP's appreciated for respect of venue. Some future special events will have a prepayment required. Let's get together and encourage meaningful, purposeful, healthy, & active aging. If you need additional assistance beyond our Meetups to reach your goal to Age in Place, Kelly Johnson of Senior Endeavors, LLC the sponsor for this group is available for a strategy session.

Seniors Keeping Active- DIA Trip & Tour ***DATE CHANGE***

Madison Heights Active Adult Center

Join us on our cultural endeavor to the DIA. This is a FREE event. We meet at the Madison Heights Active Adult Center and board the bus at 12 pm sharp. Then we head into the city for a docent lead museum tour, some free time to explore or shop the museum store, a coffee reception, then a return trip (3 pm) back to the Madison Heights Active Adult Center. We should be back by 4 pm, so schedule at least 4 hours for this outing. We have access to a full commercial bus with a capacity for 45 people. Let’s fill the bus!! We need 25 seats filled to keep this reservation. Please sign up early if interested. If you have a friend that wants to join you, add them to your RSVP. Please note: there is a lot of walking required for this outing. Only sign up if you know you can go on the trip. If you know anyone needing a wheelchair/scooter lift to get into the bus, let me know. They can accommodate us with one if needed. Any shopping at the museum store is on your own. Come ready for great art, great fun and great conversation!! All attendees, please park your vehicle in the rear of the parking lot at the Madison Heights Active Adult Center to allow for parking for the regular Bingo/Center participants. Feel free to check out the center before or after our trip, grab a newsletter, take a peek inside, or request a tour. It is a wonderful place to hangout with friends, enjoy special events, travel and keep active and healthy!!
