Warrior Zen Mindfulness is a form of sitting mindfulness practice with deep roots in the martial arts and Zen Buddhism. This is a secular practice that focuses on developing the practitioner's well-being, self-reliance, confidence, and courage to face the present moment head-on.

Warrior Zen Mindfulness emphasizes the importance of taking up the correct posture, following the breath, developing strength in the hara (abdomen), and Zanshin–panoramic awareness. Practitioners of Warrior Zen Mindfulness train their minds and bodies to be ready for any eventuality, internal or external, and to face those circumstances with courage, strength, and equanimity.
