This (free) monthly gathering, organized by the National Cohousing Alliance (Coho/US) will include a Cohousing 101 presentation and ample time to connect and ask questions.
We’ll share cohousing lingo, best practices and more information on how to continue your cohousing journey.

In-Person Tour of Takoma Village Cohousing in DC, Sun, Sept. 20, 1-3pm
Takoma Village Cohousing, 6827 4th St NW, Washington, DC, USCome learn about life at Takoma Village Cohousing in Washington, DC, a thriving multigenerational community where residents know and support each other. Join our in-person tour on Sunday, September 20, from 1:00–3:00 pm.
During the tour we'll provide a comprehensive introduction to Takoma Village, make plenty of time for Q&A, lead a walk-through of our community's extensive common facilities, and peek inside a couple of homes. Light refreshments will be served.

Take public transportation to the event. We’re two blocks from the Takoma Station on Metro’s Red Line. Street parking is also available in the neighborhood.
NOTE: This is the last in-person tour this year. Virtual tours will be offered online in December 2026 and in March 2027.

TOUR DAY at Eastern Village Cohousing!
Eastern Village Cohousing, 7981 Eastern Ave NW, Silver Spring, MD, USLearn about life in Cohousing at Eastern Village on our TOUR DAY Sunday October 18 starting at 1:00 PM.
We'll provide an introduction to Eastern Village, a green co-housing community in the Downtown Silver Spring Arts & Entertainment District. Members will discuss life in our community and do a Q&A. You will then tour our community’s extensive common facilities, including award-winning eco-features and several of our condo units. Please join the tour promptly by 12:45 PM for a 1:00 PM start.

If you are interested in living at Eastern Village, Montgomery County’s only cohousing community, we strongly encourage you to observe at least one of our monthly community meetings and attend one or more of our social activities. That way you will be able to see if cohousing and Eastern Village, in particular, is right for you.
Eastern Village is just 4 blocks from the Silver Spring Metro station on the Red Line. Parking is available behind the building in the Montgomery County Kennett Street Garage (no payment needed on Sunday) or on the street.
