HackSurfer is seeking a Mid-to-Senior level DBA to join our Engineering team to work on our scalable, highly-available and rapidly-developing architecture.
Our system architecture is composed of PostgreSQL, MongoDB and emerging NoSQL, massively-parallel infrastructures. You’ll join a small yet highly capable and motivated team in order to maintain and develop the system’s databases and integrate and deploy complex new modules.
Specific Responsibilities: (includes but is not limited to)
Maintaining the system’s databases (MongoDB, PSQL)
Develop, integrate and deploy complex modules
Use BI (business intelligence) tool to produce analytic data-driven reports
Design and support data infrastructure with consideration for performance, availability, and specific application requirements.
Work closely with other departments on the implementation and deployment of new initiatives
Position Requirements & Experience:
BS/MS in Computer Science preferred but not required.
5+ years of database development and/or administration.
1 year experience with MongoDB
Fast learner, creative thinker, problem solver.
Team player, highly motivated and self-manageable
Responsible, dedicated and responsive in non-working hours as needed
Experience in text processing, search and query a plus
