Hey ya'll.

I'm running a game in Annandale, 3.5, Eberron. Currently 3 players, and looking for 1 more (perhaps 2).

I've got over a decade experience running and playing D&D and loads of other games; the other players, while creatively experienced, are new to playing 3.5 and Eberron. I aim for a good mix of serious roleplay and hackin'. If you'd like to check out the campaign so far, go look at

We're all 20-something sorts, grad students, teachers, librarians, that sort of thing. Games usually include (good! no light) beer and pizza.

If you're interested, drop me a line and let me know.

P.S. Party consists of a ranger, a bard, and a druid- these people are desperately in need of a rogue or a wizard or an artificer before I kill them all!

My name is Jason and I host a game in Alexandria. It's always Sunday from 11 to 5. Usually, it's
every other Sunday, though that may sometimes vary depending on holidays and people's schedules. Our group is comprised only of non-smokers.

The game is based on 3.5 There is a mix of battle and role play and puzzle solving. I am the main GM, but sometimes players run things for a while, too. We play for fun, so power gamers need not apply.

If you're interested in joining my group, send me an email at jasonwilke <at> comcast [dot] net.

Hey all!

We are starting a new campaign at level one soon, and we are looking for some players to round out the group. We are located at Andrews AFB (about 9 miles into MD) and there would be no problem about getting on the base. We usually play on the weeknights after 4 or 7, depending on work shifts. Days played are a little unstable because of our fluxuating shifts. My friend, and experienced gamer for at least 10 years, is running the campaign. The two steady players are my wife, playing a druid, and me, playing an Algai'd'siswai (Imported from the WoT campaign setting). If you are interested in gaming with us, send us a message or a call at 301-326-8671.

Hey all. I hope I'm doing this right (don't want to muck up the system here).

I'm moving back to DC at the end of August and, after getting settled, am looking to either startup a Dragonlance (D&D, 3.5) campaign set during the War of the Lance. (Or, if there is already a group going that's looking for a new player, and not enough interest in a new group, I'd be happy to join another one.)

The first gaming session or two will probably be a small, short adventure of some sort to let everyone get to know one another and settle into their characters. After that, we'll switch gears into a campaign I'm developing that is very loosely modeled on the original Dragonlance adventure modules. The party will be caught behind the front lines of the advancing Red Dragonarmy, and thrown into the middle of political infighting of the Highlords and their conniving lieutenants.

If folks are interested, the first couple of sessions would probably be held at our new home in McLean Gardens (walking distance of American University and National Cathedral). My home is shared with my partner and a large white beast that I am told is a Luck Dragon from the Neverending Story (but which I suspect is actually a type of dog called a Kuvasz), and is both GLBT and kender friendly (however, kender must be escorted by a responsible human and willing to sign an indemnification agreement for any items "found" or "borrowed" by said kender).

For additional information (or to sign up), check out this meetup or send me an e-mail. Alternatively, as I said, if there is a pre-existing D&D group (ideally set in Dragonlance), please drop me a line if you're looking for a new player (and don't mind that it'll be September before I show).

Hey folks... I am starting to realize that I miss playing since moving to this area. I was originally going to DM a campaign to rectify this, but with the announcement by Wizards, I would rather wait until 4th edition is released before I sit behind the screen again. (DISCLAIMER: I don't actually DM with a screen. I was speaking metaphorically.)

BASICS: I live in Arlington. I find that I get along with most gamers and gaming groups. Saturdays I'm usually busy, but most other days work for me.

GAMING STUFF: I am willing to play any type of character or class to fill any gaps you might have in the adventuring party. I think the ideal campaign has a good mix of roleplaying and combat. I especially like DMs who ask the characters for backgrounds and drop in plot hooks and storylines related to the players. I definitely roleplay my character and speak in character at the table.

A couple basic assumptions I make about D&D:
1. The PCs are heroes! I don't enjoy playing in evil campaigns.
2. The PCs are a team! I don't enjoy playing in campaigns where the characters backstab each other.

SETTINGS: I love Eberron and that'd be my first choice for a campaign. I also like Greyhawk and homebrew worlds (it's nice to see something the DM is passionate about.) But I'm willing to give anything a shot.

WARNING: Friends have called me a rules lawyer in jest. I don't really fit the stereotypes of rules lawyers and I'm not argumentative. I don't waste time or grind the game to a halt, but I do know the rules well and will say something if a rule is played incorrectly. I used to play A LOT (2-3 times a week) with a wide variety of gamers and never had anyone take issue with the fact that I occasionally will quote rules. If you think this might be a problem, I urge you to invite me to a session or two. If those sessions don't work out, I promise I won't be offended if you ask me to leave.

Anyway, if you could use another player, drop me an e-mail (I only check this board once in a while).

Hi all. Two NW-DC guys -- Nightcrawler and me -- looking to start an AD&D 2nd Edition campaign, seeking other interested participants. We are mid-twenties, and seek several mature gamers to fill out our group. Meeting times and locations TBD. Campaign setting TBD, but we are shooting for Ravenloft if there's enough interest in that. Whatever the setting, character development and roleplay will definitely be more important to the game than hack 'n slash. Not necessary that you're too familiar with 2nd Edition, just that you're willing to give it a try.

Thanks to all who showed interest. Looks like we've now got a full game.

Hi everyone! It's only been a few months since I last GM'd, and I'm going into withdrawal already ;) Just moved to Rockville, and looking for 3-5 mature players for an X-Files/BPRD style game. I'm torn between using D20 Modern or D20 Cthulu minus sanity scores. All I can say is that it takes place in the 1930s. It'll have a healthy mix of combat, story, and creepy stuff. If this sounds good, drop me a line.
